Every Wednesday, 7:30 PM, VIRTUAL
Rev. Sue leads a Freedom Choir, which rehearses on Wednesdays from 7-8 pm at Summit United Methodist Church. During COVID-19 restrictions, we are holding our choir practice virtually via Zoom. Visit our Facebook page for more details. ALL are welcome! The freedom choir sings freedom songs at marches and events throughout the community, spreading the message of social justice through music.
4th Sunday Worship Service @ The Commons on Livingston, PAUSED
The Commons is a homeless shelter for veterans. Every 4th Sunday of the month, we take our traditional worship service to their facility. This is a laid back event, usually with acapella music, and we encourage the veterans to be involved in the worship as much as they are willing. We also serve a meal on these Sundays coordinated by one of our members. (During COVID-19, THIS HAS BEEN PAUSED. We will let you know when we resume in-person visitations.)

Faith Mission, Every 2nd Saturday of the month, 10-11 AM
Every 2nd Saturday of the month from 10 – 11 am we visit Faith Mission Homeless Shelter (245 N Grant Ave). We usually set up on the men’s side of the shelter, and serve coffee (purchased from Roosevelt Coffee on Long and 6th St) and other breakfast items such as donuts, breakfast bars, orange juice, and croissants. We also pass out socks at this event.
Worship Services, Sundays @ Summit United Methodist Church, 10 AM, VIRTUAL
[Until further notice, join us via Facebook Live on our Facebook page.] As a church, we have a traditional worship service from 5 – 6 pm on Sundays at Summit United Methodist Church (82 E 16th Ave). We welcome ALL (in the truest sense of the word) to come worship with us in the black church tradition of music, hymns, scriptures, and the preached word.
Monday Bible Study, 6:30 PM, VIRTUAL
Join us via Zoom (details on Facebook page) for Monday evening Bible Study. When circumstances permit, we will reconvene at Summit United Methodist but until then meet us on Zoom.
